Apple CEO Tim Cook To Sit With Michelle Obama During State Of The Union

Apple’s Tim Cook will have a great seat during the president’s State of the Union address Monday night. Acording to The Mercury News, Cook will be seated next to First Lady Michelle Obama in the First Lady’s Box. Cook will be joined by Bobak Ferdowsi, a member of the Mars Curiosity rover team at NASA.

Last year, the First Lady’s guests included Laurene Powell Jobs, Steve Jobs’s widow; and Instagram Co-Founder Mike Krieger.

President Obama mentioned Steve Jobs during last year’s address: “You see, an economy built to last is one where we encourage the talent and ingenuity of every person in this country. That means women should earn equal pay for equal work. It means we should support everyone who’s willing to work; and every risk-taker and entrepreneur who aspires to become the next Steve Jobs.”

Although President Obama famously rocks a BlackBerryThe Telegraph reported in September that Obama spends hours every night on his iPad.

Tim Cook has a busy couple of days ahead of him. On Tuesday, he plans to give a presentation at Goldman Sachs’s tech conference.
