Snapchat Doesn't Delete Your Photos/Videos After They Expire

If you’re smart, you know it’s a bad idea to share incriminating photos you wouldn’t want the world to see. But alas, people continue to do it, often with Snapchat. The assumption is that you can send something over Snapchat, the recipient can view it, and it will be gone forever. However, according to this video, that may not be the case.

Using a simple file browsing utility, Nick Keck demonstrates that videos sent and received via Snapchat remain on your iOS device even after they expire:

For people who think the sexting app is foolproof, you might think twice next time you consider sending something you wouldn’t want your parents, friends, or boss to see. Granted, the recipient may not know about this clever trick, but why take the risk?

    • Yes. It’s just a matter of trial and error to find the right folder/files.
