Snapchat Could Be Valued As High As $19B In New Funding Round
A new round of funding being sought by Snapchat could value the company as high as $19 billion, according to a new report.
“A person with knowledge of the matter” told Bloomberg that the company is hoping to raise as much as $500 million, with execs “in advanced discussions” with fund managers.
This round could potentially land Snapchat a valuation of between $16 billion and $19 billion, making it one of the top three VC-backed startups—behind Uber and Xiaomi.
Snapchat declined to comment on this story.
In 2013, Facebook placed a $3 billion bid to acquire Snapchat, which the company declined.
