If you want to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad and make your device your own, there’s never been a better time to do it. Thanks to the fine folks at TaiG, iOS 8.1.1 and 8.1.2 can be jailbroken, and the process is easier than it’s ever been.

The TaiG jailbreak tool can be used to jailbreak any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch running iOS 8, iOS 8.0.2, iOS 8.1, iOS 8.1.1, and iOS 8.1.2. Just follow this sumple tutorial, and you’ll have a jailbroken device in no time.

Ready? Let’s dive in!

How To Jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 Or iOS 8.1.2 Using TaiG

Step 1: Download the tool directly from TaiG at the following link: TaiG v1.2.0 (Windows only). Extract the file.

Step 2: Make sure you have iTunes installed on your computer. Plug your device in via USB and make sure iTunes recognizes it.

Step 3: Restore your iPhone to iOS 8.1.1.

Step 4: Turn off Find My iPhone in Settings -> iCloud.

Step 5: If you have a passcode on your device, disable it in Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode.

Step 6: Enable Airplane Mode.

Step 7: Right click the TaiGJBreak_EN_1201.exe file and choose Run as Administrator. Click Yes on the next dialog box.

Step 8: At this point, the TaiG tool should recognize your device. Uncheck the second box, but leave the Cydia box checked.

Step 9: Click the green jailbreak button. Let the process run until it tells you it’s complete.

Step 10: After your device reboots, you should see a Cydia icon on your homescreen.

Pretty simple, right? If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments below!
