Weebly Launches Carbon, The First Mobile Platform For Building E-Commerce Stores

by Brad MerrillOctober 1, 2015

Botany Bay FarmsWebsite building platform Weebly today announced Carbon, the third major iteration of its service. This update is a “complete relaunch of the Weebly platform,” bringing with it a plethora of services to help entrepreneurs build and grow e-commerce stores from any device.

Carbon is reportedly the first platform that allows users to build and manage an online store using only a phone or tablet. Weebly’s new apps for iOS and Android offer an all-inclusive drag-and-drop experience that entrepreneurs can use to manage their businesses from anywhere—no desktop computer required.

Weebly has also launched a new App Center, which offers integrations from dozens of app partners to help with things like shipping, funding, marketing, SEO, and social media.

“Weebly Carbon will give a business of any size, or entrepreneur of any age, a complete platform to build their business like never before and the flexibility to do it from anywhere,” said David Rusenko, Weebly’s founder and CEO. “We believe the trifecta of beautiful design, ease of use and unprecedented mobile access is the future of small business.”

Weebly Carbon is available today for all current and new users. The service offers a free base-level plan as well as a variety of paid plans for additional functionality.
